Chimney Sweeping Services

Chimney/liner sweep includes:

• Checking the chimney or flue meets current regulations
• Sweep carried out to Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps code of practice, using power sweeping equipment, traditional rod and brush or viper and star
• Small service to stove or burner if you have one
• Smoke test
• An approved sweep certificate issued on completion

Before I arrive please remove anything from the hearth, mantle and surrounding area. Please leave a clear path to the fire or appliance. Please don't use the appliance or fire 24 hours before I arrive. I have plenty of dust sheets but please feel free to cover anything yourself.

Birds nest removal

The removal of birds nests can be carried out at an additional cost, a camera inspection is carried out after every birds nest removed to ensure all the debris has been removed. (It is illegal to remove or destroy any bird nests while in use or being built, usually between March and August)

Tar/Creosote removal

The removal of tar or creosote will require more visits to your property and the use of specialist products, it will therefore have an additional cost.

Other services include:

• Installation of carbon monoxide alarms
• Replacement fire bricks, door glass or rope seals
• Any advice required
